Freedom day is called as Independence Day of India  which occurs on August 15 of every year. It celebrates the date in 1947 when the Indian Independence Act came into effect, which established India as an independent country,that is no longer under British imperialist rule.

Independence day of India is celebrated on 15th August every year. India became free from the British rule on 15th August 1947. It was an outcome of the prolonged struggle, hard work and sacrifices of the people and our great leaders.
